shoot me up with an overdose of morphine.
I sent an infant daughter on her trip
through eternity with a hospital administered injection.
She departed painlessly and quietly.
I would have no qualms electing the same path.
She didn't reside on earth for long,
but in her short life she taught me a life-long lesson.
We have an obligation to ourselves and our loved ones
to die with dignity.
